Kadayawan 2012

Call time was 7:30 AM! As expected... Filipino time again! Haha. There were a lot of people on the streets! It's actually my first time to celebrate Kadayawan... I mean the real deal! Walking on the streets and watching the parade and stuff. It wasn't easy! The scorching heat of the sun made it such a struggle plus the people around who were practically dying to see the dance. Security was also tight. A lot of policemen were scattered everywhere. We lasted for at least 2-3 performances and we exited the premises. We couldn't take it! It's hard when you don't have a nice spot so you should be early if you want to see it. Since perspiration is trending in the event all the bottled drinks were on Buy One Take One!

We had our lunch at  Mediterranean afterwards. We were so drained. Its been so long since we last ate here! Good thing they still recognize us. By the way they have their merienda buffet @ 150 Php only! It starts at 2 pm so go and make your tummies happy! :)

After recharging ourselves. We strolled at Abreeza that seemed to be a park that day! Unexplained feisty vibe! There were a whole bunch of people there! ASAP was there too and we got to see Nikki Gil, Maja Salvador, and Angeline Quinto! JM de Guzman and Sam Milby was also there but we only heard them... We didn't see them.

That same afternoon Starbucks was also having a promo... Double upsize! We waited again so that we could avail. Our usual spot was taken. Tsk tsk! Haha.
From tall to venti! Great deal huh? You must love Kadayawan! It's the season to be jolly because everything's on sale or promo! :D

We spent the whole afternoon there while waiting for our other companions who were still at China town. It felt like we were on drugs because we were laughing just about anything we could think of. We were just looking at the people around and making comments like... Instagreatness (which refers to someone who's good looking or something nice). From thereon we were making comments with "Insta" as a prefix! Haha. Yup we're InstaCrazy!

The dawn came and some were tired and had to retire early... There were only 3 of us left. Cindy, Pokie, and I... We didn't want to go home. We strolled some more and we saw Solen Heusaff at Cafe Laguna. She was pretty! We decided to have dinner and so we ate at Papa Ching's...
Searched for Durian. Walked ourselves to Cindy's house... Watched television... Decided to buy DVDs...

First we thought of getting a horror movie then I said we should watch Magic Mike and we did but the audio was terrible so we had to walk ourselves back and exchange it. We bought ice cream too because we wanted to pig out. Haha. We got American Pie The Reunion! It was awesome! Funny and less green-er than the previous movies. Until... The rain came and we only had one umbrella which was a little bit small for the three of us. We had to fit in and protect the ice cream and DVD from getting wet. Haha! We had to literally say... "Okay team. Left... Right... Left..."
It was hard when we were all laughing... Not to mention Pokie and his "Epic Laugh" which had us all going. We had to stop under the rain just to calm ourselves down. The water was already ankle level while we were walking but we arrived safely. It was a DVD night once again.

I was a day to remember. It was indeed a happy Kadayawan :)

Until next time! I hope to attend different festivals all around the world and I'm itching to share it all to you guys!
