Increase in Age = Increase in Responsibilities

In a lovely day on the 4th of May we welcomed baby Niccolo to the christian world. I think it's my 2nd time to be a godparent to a child. A seminar was conducted before actual rite. I've also attended one before but I think I'm still required to attend this one. I confess... I really didn't listen that much because of the scorching heat. It was such a struggle but I think I got the important parts.

It was held at Digos City, a 1 hour drive from Davao City. I came a day earlier at Davao so that I can go to Digos together with my friends. It was a good thing that Celine's father gave us a lift. Cool dad right there! Teehee.
We arrived just in time for the mass and we were pretty much having a hard time looking for Nikki (Niccolo's mom). Only to find out we were on the wrong side of the Church. After the Eucharistic celebration was the seminar, then the baptismal rites, and finally the reception. I felt like a kid at heart again. The theme was the Disney movie Cars. I was so delighted with the "Pit Stop" which had a chocolate fountain, a race track filled with red velvet cupcakes, a cotton candy maker, a popcorn maker, and a whole lot of sweet treats! Talk about temptation. I think I was the first one on line.
Here's a groupie from table number 8 :)

After all the eating and intermissions it was finally time for some picture taking.

And for an outfit of that day...

Floral Top - No Apologies
Mint Skater Skirt - CATalogue by Kitty on Kat (Look them up on Facebook!)
Studded Purple Sandals - Celine
Longchamp Bag
Watch - Swatch

I just wore light pastel colors for the baby feels and made myself comfortable. Not a fan of heels these days. Until the next special event.

P.S.
I really wish I could blog more often. I'll try! :D
Thanks for reading. Ciao

Simple yet meaningful

I was so stressed on what to do for le boyfriend's birthday. I wanted to do something special and personal. So I came up with this bright idea of looking up things you can do for your boyfriend's birthday. It showed a bunch of options. Some were too hard to achieve and all but I settled for what I think I can do and made some twists to keep it exciting.
With the help of a very good friend (wait... crash that out. Great friend - Jhan.) We were able to come come up with stuff we can do. We ordered balloons. I printed photos and attached them to the ends. If you want to do the same thing make sure they weigh equally  because your balloons won't float  on the same levels. Haha. Well, that's a lesson learned. Take it from me. Haha! But it added some effect that they were floating/flying on different levels but it was hard to contain them in one room since I set it up at an open area.
We also made a no bake cheesecake at Jhan's house. His parents were very supportive. I am an adopted daughter of the Mamon's. Haha! I'll make another blog entry on how to make the cheesecake. I still need a second try on it to perfect it. Nonetheless, it tasted good for someone who's not expert on making this kind of stuff.
I topped it blueberry jam but I failed to take photos.

Le boyfriend didn't expect to see a lot of people on his birthday because it was usually spent only with his family. It was my first time to attend his birthday even if we've already known each other for like 15 years? Haha. The night was well spent but Jhan and I had to go home early because we still had duty for the next day.
I just love my guy <3
Thumbs up for our first time to celebrate birthdays together. Special thanks to Jhan & family, Corny's family, and our ever supportive friends. Much love and respect guys! Until the next celebration!

IPANEMA UNLEASHES DAVAO’S FASHION ANIMAL

Picking up steam from its successful Bonifacio Global City (BGC) extravaganza at the onset of 2012, world-renowned Brazilian flip-flop brand Ipanema is raring to spread and bring its distinct jovial, fun spirit to Davao in another night of true enchantment on October 12, 2012, Tuesday at the Abreeza Mall Activity Center.

True to the brand’s style sensibility of unleashing the fashion animal of its market of go-getters, the Ipanema Urban Jungle Fashion Show promises an unforgettable experience for the senses featuring fresh, animated pieces from the stylista-friendly brand.

For the forthcoming Davao launch, Ipanema invites everyone to a feast of the senses in an extraordinary gathering of the fiercest go-getters. Ipanema looks into doubling the fun in upping the ante for a runway show-cum-fashion festival—similar to the raved about fashion parade in Manila—the night channeled the inner fashion animals of the Metro’s “it” list.

DANCE TO THE IPANEMA BEAT.
Onstage, a number of dancers in magical creatures costumes lure the crowd of stylistas.

MYSTICAL REVERIE.
Fashion meets mystical creatures in a festive display of brave prints and bold colors with the new Ipanema collection. Onstage, dancers pose with Patxi Elizalde, owner and president of BAMBU Ventures, Inc., home of the famous Brazilian footwear brands, IPANEMA, Grendha and Rider.

Encompassing diverse tastes and personalities of today’s breadth of stylistas, the unique show at BGC was dubbed as a night dedicated to the unraveling of the fabulous “fauna” of new Ipanema flipflop styles. No short of a majestic display of mythical creatures translating stories captivating each style and taste of the footwear brand’s new collection.

Up to this day, Ipanema has since carved a name easily attributed to a style mecca not just in Brazil but around the globe where stylistas thrive. As it continues to banner fabulous footwear from Manila to Davao, we are all invited to indulge in an urban fashion jungle.

NIGHT OF THE FASHION ANIMALS.
A creative outburst shines onstage as dancers showcase a different world with the Ipanema philosophy of unleashing everyone’s wild side.
TO THE URBAN JUNGLE.
Ipanema’s new store in Bonifacio Global City gets officially unveiled in a one-of-a-kind night of enchantment.

Are you excited? I know I am. Hope to see you there! :D

FOREVER 21

Forever 21 Finally opens a branch here in Davao City. Fashionistas can finally feast and rejoice! Haha. The event happened around 5 pm... But before it even started I met some of the fashion bloggers during the Supermarket Tour.

Quite surprised of how tall he was! And very humble for a Tumblr famous ;)

There were many of them but I didn't get the chance to get a photo with the others. Thanks to these guys I was able to enter the Forever 21 event that day. Special thanks to Dawn for taking these by the way... :D

Before the event officially started we all enjoyed munching on food that they have prepared for us.

The list of people that I met that day is not yet finished... The highlight of my night? DJ Callum of course. I had to wait hours just to get a photo with him. He was too busy with his music. Haha! I wasn't alone. A lot of girls were also patiently waiting.

The Set Up
I wasn't prepared for the event! Haha. My get up was sorta out of place but I couldn't care less. Haha! What I wore? An Unica Hija blouse, Forever 21 shorts, Surplus shoes, and a Liz Claiborne bag. Well, at least I wore something from the brand, right? Haha!

Both my camera and phone died during the fashion show proper so yeah... These are the only shots I got. Almost all of the outfits were to die for. I was so happy to see Mai's little sister ramp! :)

The count down begins! Forever 21 opens its doors for all the shoppers!

What's inside?

I also went there with my friends during the grand opening the next day. They couldn't help themselves. It was a happy shopping day for the girls! :D

We spent hours there that it was already time to close. The store was huge and there were a lot of good finds. Expect to get more and more confused on what to buy.

Well, girls will be girls. If you want to purchase items make sure to bring your budget because this is like temptation island! So many good finds!

If you want to visit them they're located at the ground floor of SM Lanang Premier! :)

TOKYO TOKYO OPENS DOORS TO DAVAOEñOS

The country's #1 Japanese fast food chain brings quality and affordable dishes to Davao City.

Almost 30 years since the first Tokyo Tokyo store was established at Quad Park in Makati, it finally arrived in the VisMin Region serving their signature dishes to Davaoeños first! :D

"As we officially open the doors to Tokyo Tokyo in the heart of Davao, we hope to open a whole new dining experience for all Davaoeños - one quality, affordable and delicious Japanese cuisine. We're very happy to be opening not only the first branch built outside Luzon, but also beginning of our long-awaited expansion plans in the VisMin Region," said Tokyo Tokyo's Marketing Manager Joan Pamplona.

To celebrate this milestone, Tokyo Tokyo gathered together friends from the media for an exclusive event of the first store in Davao where guests had the privilege to indulge a wide array of Tokyo Tokyo's best-loved dishes - Prawn Tempura, Pork Tonkatsu, Beef Misono, Chicken Teriyaki and the all time favorite Red Iced Tea. I'm proud to say that I was one of the lucky few!
I loved everything! My two favorites are the tempura and the maki! The chicken teriyaki is to die for too!

The media guests were also treated to a Maki-making Demo which showcased 5 kinds of different maki. Some guests had the chance to make their own Maki. Everyone pretty much enjoyed!
