After a month or so of sitting for hours, writing non-stop, reading stuff that seemed to be endless, and answering questionnaires... A much awaited week long break was given to us before the second comprehensive phase starts. Each one of us preferred to stay home and get some good sleep. Until, a bright idea popped! Haha. As usual... Since it was such a long time since we last went to the beach or just to take a dip in a pool... Our minds lost a little bit of its sanity and decided to go somewhere we all haven't been to.

A lot of the team LG wasn't able to go. There were only three of us that day. May I say that I have finally grown up? I was confident enough to travel to places minus the fact that my mother was with us. Haha. Never mind... Crash that thought out.
If this had happened before we wouldn't go for it since there were only 3 of us but some things change. To sum it up... We went for it anyway.
Destination? Banay-Banay!

How to get there? Simple!
Just ride Bachelor bus plying to Mati and vice versa or commuter van plying to Mati and vice versa. Now, make sure you bring your IDs with you! Student or Senior Citizens have a special privilege.  It's way cheaper when you ride a bus + non-air.

We left about 7-8 AM. There are a lot of stop overs so you better prepare yourselves. Its about a 2-3 hours travel time from Davao City. Bring your music and food to keep you occupied or you could just sleep.
We had a quick stop over at Tagum! So, we ate some siomai because we were all starving.

  A traveling tip I got from my travel buddies: Hard/Soft boiled egg can go along way. It's advisable to take one or two with you so that you won't go hungry and all during the trip. No one wants to be on bad vibes in a happy trip, right?

Our first agenda was to stroll around the area and we made a little something to watch out for. Gangnam... Oops! ;P

The place was very relaxing. We went there on a weekday so there was no other guests than us. It felt like the whole place was exclusive to us! Since we arrived a little late than scheduled we had to cook lunch in the fastest possible way. We grilled pork BBQ! Nom nom! We ordered garlic shrimps too! It was heaven. It was a good start.

After eating and resting a bit we most likely enjoyed the water! Swimming pool it is! Our favorite part was the hydromassage. We were literally lying down and just letting water fall on our backs. It was relaxing! You just have to find the perfect spot. We were all so into our activities that we didn't have proper documentation of everything

When the tide is low... The kids will play! The beach, we love it. Need I say more? Too bad we didn't get a photo of the floating cottage! We also went there. It was very relaxing :D

Le mum prepared the dinner. Pork chop, noodles, soup, and some more BBQ. It won''t be complete without dessert. Watermelon!

Night swimming after dinner! Haha. We were all alone so we really enjoyed everything the resort has to offer! :D We all slept early that night. Well, we didn't intend to sleep early. We were just sound trippin' and I found my roommates fast asleep after a few minutes. Haha!

The next day... We went to the Sand Bar (Vanishing Island). It was a wonderful place to be! It was a marine protected area. The corals were amazing and the water... crystal clear! the view was amazing!

We only stayed there for a few minutes since we were home bound suupposedly before lunch but it turns out... We had to leave after lunch.

Bonhomie Leisure & Resort has a swimming pool for adults and kids. Nice and spacious (open) cottages for day tour and can be used for overnight stay too. 

Rooms for overnight stay are now available.

Room rate(aircon) is at Php2,200.00 good for two(2) persons with breakfast for 2.

Can accommodate up to four persons.

Extra person and extra bed charges applies.

Day tour rates:

Entrance for adults is PHP 90.00 and children PHP 70.00.

Overnight rates:

Entrance Adult: Php180/head

Children: Php120/head

Entrance includes free use of swimming pool.

They offer packages for weddings, birthdays and other special occasions. 

Their restaurant serves affordable food and snacks.
