FANCY

Flashback Friday to last year's LG Christmas dinner. Still incomplete but just as fun. 2014 dinner was held at Waterfront Insular Hotel. I forgot the exact name of the resto... My bad. Long talks and exchange gifts!
Their comfort room had very nice lights so we ended up taking a lot of photos there. Haha!
Thrifty OOTD
Surplus tank top, A cover up thingy I just pulled out of my closet, black stretchable pants I bought from Gaisano department store, and a pair of cheap yet elegant sandals from KCC Mall Department store (GENSAN) and a golden watch from Avon.

I cut my hair short that day because I just felt like doing it. Now it's a bit longer and I just wanna chop it off again.

Looking forward to this years' reunion with the gang. I hope everyone can make it.

Ber months are coming.

Island Hopping

Team LG turns 3 and I turned 23!
Just last May we celebrated two events in one day. It's so hard for our schedules to coincide. So some of the team members weren't able to make it. I'm glad we came because I missed last years celebration.

What did we do to celebrate? We rented a private "banca" as labeled. I loved the fact that it was purple. We really didn't know the specific places we were going to so we let the captain of the ship do the decision making. Hehe.
We brought our own food and drinks. Good thing we can grill on the boat so were multitasking while travelling. Everything was just pure bliss. The sight seeing, the waters, the company... it was indeed a good day! If you're following me on instagram you would probably know that we saw dolphins along the way. Yes, dolphins. More or less 10 dolphins and we were acting like crazy kids at awe.

Praise God for monopods! The groupie must! Loving the banca. Haha! Karla here our DJ and photographer at the same time. Check out her vlogs on youtube: makeupbykarlamisa

CORNBALLS - what they named my boyfriend.

Change gear for swimming!

Chilling like a boss.

Favorite drink of the group!

When I say jump you say how high?!
You can't help but love mother Hannah. She didn't jump! Hahaha. Funny girl. Although we both don't know how to swim at least I tried. I thought I was going to die when I realized the rope was too far away from me. I don't know how I survived.
"Mother, baba na."

I love how adventurous my friends are. They are simply the best.
It was a fun filled experience and I barely get to see all of them at once. Live life to the fullest!
Until the next adventure!

Days Off

You know when you deserve a break after days of work and stress. What better way to spend these fortunate days than spending it with the people you love. Going back to Davao is a way of unwinding and enjoying my vacant days. Since I rarely visit the city, my friends find time to squeeze me into their schedules even if it’s a little bit hectic and I appreciate them for that.
As a line from a song would say, “We don’t even have to try it’s always a good time.” There’s  never a dull moment when I’m with them.  Our team used to be all single. I think I was the first one to break the so called “curse.” Haha. But everything’s all looking good for us – career wise and happiness wise, because being single is never a hindrance to happiness! And umaarangkada  na ata ang lovelife naming lahat. Haha! *knocks on wood* Buyag!

It was time for them to meet CORNBALLS (our code name for him before which turned out to be his name for our team now). We spent the evening at the place where all the talking unveils – Starbucks Abreeza. Yes, it has to be specific because this is our favorite place. We honestly think they do what they do best. Comparing to other branches we've tried, the yummiest food & drinks are here. Although you think they’re all probably the same… Think again! It’s really different.
So much for that... we spent the whole night talking about random stuff mostly work, latest buzz, and anything under the sun. Catching up big time because there’s so much happening for all of us. We talked it over coffee and ended the night young. Cornballs and I had to go out with our friends from high school after the that so we had to dismiss earlier.

In another day of visiting the city just to get some documents from my alma mater, I spent most of my time catching up with them again. We had dinner at Café Mediterranean. We wanted to have coffee but everyone was drained from duty and we all need some rest. We left unusually early, looking forward for our next get together.
They day after, I had a lunch date with the absentee from the previous meet up – Pokieyaaa. After getting all the necessary documents from our school, we thought of where to go next because we wanted to put his car into use. We decided to go to Tea’Amo just to chill. Found myself hungry so I ordered their chicken parmigiana. Pokie only went for desserts because he was planning to eat a full lunch at their home.
Thumbs up for everything! :D Just can't get enough of this place. I hope we can have our christmas party here! After the lunch date we both headed our own ways to attend to different things... but that would be another story to tell... And that concluded my day current day(s) off. Shout out to Cindy! I miss you! Didn't get to see you.

All I can say is... When you're given a day off enjoy it. Spend it wisely! Go out and have fun! :D

Clarity Peace Serenity

The threesome party at the beach with Cindy and Karla. We just wanted to relax and forget about the life stressors for awhile and what better way to do so than go to the beach.
We originally planned to meet up at Cindy's house at exactly 8 am. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to wake up because my phone died and my alarm wasn't able to make some noise. They had to fetch me at my apartment and wake me up. So we were kinda behind the schedule (Sorry for that guys!) Haha! Good thing I already prepared my things the night before so I was good to go except some hygienic measures. Nonetheless, we were able to pursue our plans for that day.

Had an awesome time with these girls. We spent the whole day just chatting and surprisingly our topics were out of this world. Haha! Out of the ordinary. We spent the entire afternoon just chilling and not actually swimming. Planned a lot for our future travelling adventures and stuff we wanted to try. Nothing beats the girl talk. For a moment we forgot about all the stress and just enjoyed each other's company. It was a good thing that there were only a few people around (Or maybe not). There was this guy who was just so concerned of the "bato" in the beach. Haha. We couldn't help but notice and gave a little laugh whenever he says the same phrase all over again.
All the whitening products went to waste because of spending too much time under the sun. As in super change of color! Haha. We couldn't care less except that we're back to zero again. Oh well... That's life.

After the relaxation at the beach we went to the mall. We had things to purchase. Good thing almost everything was on sale... and I purchased my first ever bandage skirt that day! Wee. Can't wait to post an outfit shot with that one. Cindy and Karla bought a lot of things that day. Haha! Shopping may be a stress reliever in some way too. We really didn't notice the time passing by. We forgot about dinner. Karla had to go home while Cindy and I decided to eat the epic burger of Gino's Boom Burger (Is this the new name? Haha). They didn't have fries so we had to buy from McDo. Fries is a must when you eat burgers! Haha. They always run out of fries. It's like limited edition. So we had to walk to McDonald's and back to Gino's. Anyhoooo, we satisfied all our cravings for that day and so we rest...
We called it a day. It was energy draining but worth all the effort! It was one happy day indeed. I miss  the carefree days like this. Until next time :D

Early Christmas with Team LG

Nothing beats celebrating the yuletide season with friends. This is the third time we celebrated the Christmas together although some of us missed out during the years but its still us... complete by heart.   This time around we decided to have a fancy dinner at Verdebarr. I missed this place! They used to have their own place at the mall. I love how exquisite their place is.

Call time was 6 pm and the theme was... just dress to impress. I'm not sure if I achieved the standards though. Haha. I took the cab with Budi. I felt like I walked a thousand miles with my heels. I'm really not good at walking with super high heeled shoes but I guess I should get used to it. I need this for training! ;P

What I'm wearing
Dress&belt: Mossimo
Heels: People Are People
Clutch: New York & Company
Accesories: Unisilver
We were the early birds, together with Hannah. We are clingy friends. Even if we don't see each other for just a day or two, we feel like it has been years since we last saw one another. Parents often times tell us that we never run out of things to talk about, except when we're travelling - which is kind of weird because we should be noisy. Oh well... so much for that... Here we are!

When everyone and everything was already there it was time to fill in our tummies and make ourselves happy! Almost all of us had grilled pork chop with pineapple slice. It's superbly good! And you can choose what size you want. I'm all for small because my tummy can't handle medium and large (but JB finished his large!) and you will need an extra rice or two for this. It can't be helped. Haha. Say no to diet! You can also choose your side dish. I went for Waldorf salad just because it was named after my favorite character in Gossip Girl! Haha. No bias, its also good. Some went for mashed potato, I guess its also good since they didn't leave a mark on their plate.

Fortunately, Alzy brought some cupcakes for dessert! Red velvet and chocolate cupcakes fresh from Margie's. I'm a fan of their cakes ever since Cindy introduced me to them :D Everybody happy!

After satisfying ourselves with delicious food... Picture taking is a must! So everyone gathered up and just took random photos by pair. We're such camwhores! Haha. Donna and Jico also dined in the same place - small world eh?

If you noticed... I have this weird shade of make up under my eyes. Let me explain, I smudged my eye liner and removed it with a make up remover and just damped some foundation on the specific area. It didn't show in the mirror but the camera just unapologetically(is there such a word? Haha) emphasized it. So, I've learned my lesson! Haha.

The exchange of gifts. I got huge chocolate bars and a bracelet from Alzy plus my favorite lip balm from Budi... and a I don't know what it's called thing from Karla! Hahaha XD

I felt like a boss when Karla aka my manager liked the gift I gave her! Thumbs up for me. I'm the best secret santa ever! Even if I gave her a hint that it was me! I had to make sure ;)
We were tasked to describe first before giving the gift and Hannah assumed for like 2 or 3 times that it was her! Hahaha. I come to realize that we all have a lot of things in common. Haha. Amazingly, Jb and Hannah literally exchanged gifts!

And what's an LG meet up without the endless chatting?
Photobucket
We spent almost half of our night there because we were around until their closing time. Time to pack up and change location - to Abreeza!

We had to expose ourselves though we think we're a little bit overdressed for the extended hours of the mall we couldn't care less. Haha! Ground floor coffee shops were full so we decided to hang out at Bo's Coffee instead and we discovered a new place for meetings! Haha. Long table meetings will be held here next time!
and yet again its closing time... What else would be open at 11 in the evening? Time to party!

We went to Hybrid just because we wanted to dance. It was another full house! It's Saturday after all. There were a lot of familiar faces in the vicinity and that includes our former students. The night was still young for metro Davao and the people were partying like it was the end of the world. We had to leave early because it was extremely hot inside the club and a little bit chaotic.

For more than it's worth... I cannot put to words how lucky I am to find diamonds in a pile of stones in this world. Cheers to the true friends we have who make our lives worth living! It was a night well spent indeed. Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you for taking time to visit my blog! Much love and respect! :)
