Early dinner at Toryano's that took forever

A lot could happen in one day. Like yesterday for example, we went to Digos City early in the morning for a seminar/training. It was one hour drive away from our city. It was held in Arnaldo's hotel. I got to see familiar faces and met an "almost" relative of mine (her surname is my middle name) but turns out that it was a pure coincidental event. It was fun! We played games and actually learned a lot. It lasted until 12:05 noon.

I'm glad I wore sneakers that day because I really had to walk a lot but I do regret wearing the long sleeves because it sure was not that cold!

Frenzelle (I think she'd prefer this), Hannah, and I decided beforehand that we would go straight to Davao city for some errands and we did! We even got a free ride thanks to ma'am Karen. We ended up meeting all our goals that day and went home that evening. I wish we could have spent a lot more time together and ate a lot more. Hahaha! There's still a lot of restaurants I haven't tried yet. Maybe next time.

FANCY

Flashback Friday to last year's LG Christmas dinner. Still incomplete but just as fun. 2014 dinner was held at Waterfront Insular Hotel. I forgot the exact name of the resto... My bad. Long talks and exchange gifts!
Their comfort room had very nice lights so we ended up taking a lot of photos there. Haha!
Thrifty OOTD
Surplus tank top, A cover up thingy I just pulled out of my closet, black stretchable pants I bought from Gaisano department store, and a pair of cheap yet elegant sandals from KCC Mall Department store (GENSAN) and a golden watch from Avon.

I cut my hair short that day because I just felt like doing it. Now it's a bit longer and I just wanna chop it off again.

Looking forward to this years' reunion with the gang. I hope everyone can make it.

OLD SCHOOL

I went to my old high school  a few weeks ago and I look to the place where I learned a lot of things in life and gained friends that remained with me up to date, probably for a lifetime. I spent more or less 8 years in this school. I can't believe how much has changed. I just wish that they would become a university in the coming years.
College grounds
This staircase holds many memories
The chapel
Elementary ground + Kiosk
High School Department

Soccer Field
Thanks to these two I was able to visit NDKC again.

Flash back Friday.

HK Wedding

Signs of growing old? Everyone's getting married!
I've known my friends for years and it's just surreal watching them get married and have kids. Our friendship isn't perfect but in times of need, whether good or bad, we're there. Friends that stick together are for keeps.
It's always fun when I'm with them. We've all grown up but we still end up being the same when we're around each other. Some things just never change. I love you guys! Beyond words! Even though we're not complete in this event let's not forget to keep in touch once in awhile.

Congratulations to Klaudine and Hector who tied the knot and now they have little Kassy! Yup this is an over due blog post. Better late than never.

WE'LL ALWAYS HAVE SUMMER

My first ever summer outing as an employee! Yes, my first because I never got to try one from my previous employer and since this is just my second job… Yayyy for me! I guess.
So, we originally planned to go to Camiguin but the odds weren’t in our favor. So we ended up to the nearest summer getaway island - Samal! Yup. We wanted to go on island hopping and surprisingly it was going to be a first for some of my companions and I was so excited for them. I can remember my first time going on island hopping. It was such pure bliss.
We went to Davao the night before the scheduled day. We spent the night at our manager’s home which was so cute I wanted to live there even if I was only a house help (not saying that like it’s a bad thing). I shared the room with the girls which meant like 90% of us. It was so exciting to be sleeping on interconnected beds with color coordinated sheets and pillows, just like a sleepover! Endless chit chatting until everyone finally felt the need for sleep.
Waking up early that morning trying to vlog the happenings. Sir Fred and Ma’am Ana cooked breakfast for all of us which meant they woke up extra early. As for the rest of us, it was a constant battle on who was taking a bath first. I was like second to the last on the list.
When all of us were prepared we just waited for Sir Shan to fetch us and off we go!
We waited at the port for our supposed boat ride. What can I say? Over excite can cause quite a disappointment.  The boat was broken and they said we can’t go island hopping. And all other boats at the port were already taken. It was intimidating to talk to the owners, who were foreigners, because it’s hard to talk back since I’m really not that fluent talking. I understand their side but maaaaaaaaaaaaan! We came all the way from our hometown and travelled 3 hours to Davao just for this? Who wouldn’t get disappointed? We haven’t prepared food because the package we availed included it.  We had to make and wait for our orders.
We ended up calling and looking for other means to get to the island just for the summer outing to push through. Guess what? It was a lucky day! After waiting for like an hour or so we finally had a boat! And the game was on.
I always went on the same route whenever I went island hopping at Samal only to find out there were different packages available. This time we were on package B which means I get to see a lot more than what I saw before.
We randomly stopped and took a dip in the water looking for cold spots. Took photos. I don’t even know how to swim but thank God for life vests. I wasn’t alone so it was okay. It was so funny looking at the ones who were slower than I was in navigating the waters with life vests on. I can be mean sometimes but it was really funny.
I saw a lot that day. We saw a colossal squid! A school of fish surfacing, God knows why they were doing that, but it was pretty. A jelly fish. I was looking forward to see a dolphin but I didn’t. I even went rock climbing on a big rock in front of a cave just to take photos. Maybe I could pass for a dare devil, not! We also enjoyed looking at Newton(not sure if I got the spelling right) munching on food every now and then.
Anyway, it was really a fun filled day! A summer like this one should be remembered!
If you can’t swim, who says you can’t enjoy the beach? “Salig lang sa lifevest!” Hahaha. But seriously its scary but make sure there will be people on standby to rescue. Safety first!

Until the next escapade.
XO
