We were supposed to watch a movie at the mall for last full show but when we arrived the tickets were already sold out. We thought about going back to Starbucks where Cornballs and I left our friends but we decided to go on a road trip instead. We went to Jhan's house so that he can come with us. We had so many plans but we ended up going all the way to Bukidnon. Sadly, Jhan wasn't able to join us. So it was just us two.
We jumped off like 11 pm or so. We relied solely on google maps and we used it to navigate the literally long and winding road. It was a tad bit scary because the roads were dark and a lot of construction was taking place, big trucks were always passing by us, and it was already too dark. But we still went anyway. It took more or less 6 hours of driving! Good thing I was just a passenger.
As we were already near Dahilayan Forest Park at almost 5 am we saw this small place with tiny rooms, perfect place to rest. I forgot the name but it was priced at 1000 with a double deck bed with one pillow and a blanket. It also had a comfort room. Not bad eh? But we just spent 3 hours of sleep there since we had to get moving to visit the Forest Park. Nonetheless, it was good 3 hours sleep and off we went! It was freezing cold there the whole time.
We traveled 2 kilometers more to reach the park. An entrance fee of 100 per head was collected. We had our breakfast there. The place was surreal. It was super cold and very windy. I wish we had more time to enjoy the place. It would be a perfect venue for some hot coffee. I had bacon and it was awesome!
Cornballs wanted to try all the rides but I was really hesitant since it would be time consuming and we aimed not to travel during night time since it was dangerous. We only went for the highlight ride which was the drop zone. It takes you high up the ground and you had to release at the top and swing your way down. It was a thrilling experience.
We took photos and went around the place. It was almost lunch time so we had to get going. We wanted to go to the Monastery of Transfiguration at Malaybalay, Bukidnon. We couldn't find it on google maps so I gave up on the idea but thankfully cornballs didn't. We had a hard time locating the sign board but we did and we went! The guard called my attention since I was wearing shorts. He said it wasn't allowed and I said to myself it really wasn't meant to be. Until, the guard handed me a "malong" and said I could wear it so that I could enter the church. Thank God! We had time to pray and take pictures and the care taker was so nice to accommodate us.
After visiting the church we were back on the road again. As we passed by Valencia City we dropped but at McDonald's to get some lunch - a late one. I could see a person or two judging us with our orders. We had 2 McSaver Chicken Fillet each. It's cheaper than ordering a two piece chicken meal. Hahaha! Another blooper was when a crew put a standee of Alden (local celebrity) at the door of the comfort while I was inside so when I opened it... the standee hit a girl who was standing near by. She was pissed off and all I can do was say sorry as I was silently laughing in my head. Then a foreigner goes like, "Awww, look he was falling for you." (Meaning the standee towards that pissed off girl).
We hurried back oour vehicle and went back to our road trip towards home.
It was a thrilling and awesome experience for both Cornballs and I. The most spontaneous thing we've done yet. Looking forward to more adventures together with this guy!
Until the next adventure.
Thanks for dropping by :)
