Lichtenstein

I'm always up late watching YouTube videos. I came across a comic art make up tutorial. I thought, this would be fun especially for a Halloween night. Yesterday, I was out of town doing some errands and when I got home I was too tired to pursue my plans. So, I just slept. And when I woke up this morning I just implemented my plans. I was up before anyone else and started my preparations. I did not have the leisure to bathe myself before doing so because I know I'd bathe again after all the messy stuff that was about to happen. (Sounds defensive ei? But there's some truth to that.)

What I used to achieve my make up look

Sleek Eyeshadow Palette
Sansan waterproof eyeliner - Black
L.A. Colors jumbo eye pencel - Sea Shells
Wet N Wild megalast lipstick - Red Velvet
e.l.f. lipstick - Fearless
ETUDE HOUSE BB Cream - Blooming Fit

Brushes used:
Peniel Cosmetics
Artist Studio
KCosmetics Bamboo set

So, what I did first was to apply the BB cream as my base.  Then proceeded with my brows using a black eyeshadow to fill it up and make it look bold and a little bit thicker. Then I created the lines on my nose and the rest of the face to make the drawing illusion. I outlined my lips with black eyeshadow before putting on the red lipstick but I suggest to do the opposite. I used the jumbo eye pencil in the shade of sea shells to make the lip shine illusion. I exaggerated the eyeliner and made false lashes and applied generous mascara on my lashes. I then drew the red dots all over my face down to the neck using the tip of the brush, not the ones with the hair... The other end. My sister helped me do this since I was almost legally blind doing my make up without my glasses on and I'm not yet allowed to use contacts.

I borrowed a wig for the fake hair color. Then pop! There goes my selfie game.

EDEN

I've been longing to visit Eden for the longest time. Lately, I've seen photos of people I know who went there. My time came... Just a few days ago. All thanks to the long weekend we had! Cornballs and his family invited me to tag along with them. I was so hyped because it was going to be a first for me.

Road trip to Eden started at 6 AM. I give credits to Google Maps for delivering us. Haha. When were getting nearer we turned off  the AC and opened the windows to feel and breath the fresh air. It made me happy. We arrived late for the reservations for the shuttle tour. It was already full. We didn't bother to call since the website said first come first serve. The next available tour was scheduled at 3 PM which was kinda late already. So we decided to stroll on our own. We were given maps. The temperature of the place made me happy. It was just right.

Since it was a holiday there were a lot of different groups going on tour. Foreigners, senior citizens, students, and other tourists. We decided to get on with the adventure and went to the rides. We signed up for the Skycycle and Sky Swing. I really thought that the sky cycle was just like ziplining. I was wrong. It made me extra nervous. I was having trouble with my butt. I think their cycle's seat was a bit small! When I rode it and started pedaling I though I would slip out of it any moment. The cables were bouncing and I was going slow and it felt like forever to reach the other end! Hahaha. It was completely safe though. Well, at least I think it is. When we were near the end they took pictures of us and they'd say, "NO HANDs!" So that implies letting go of the handles. I just couldn't do it. I chickened out.

Ride after ride. We went straight to the sky swing. Signed another waiver and put on different set of protective gears. We were oriented on things to do. Just looking at the height of it my knees got weak. I was about to back out but you know... YOLO! Haha. We were set 95 meters high (If I'm not mistaken.) and on the second whistle we were released. It felt nuts! It was terrifying. Haha. It was worth it though. Epic ride.

After the YOLO-ing we went back to get some snacks. Then we looked for the butterfly garden but it started to rain. Cornballs and I went for it anyway. After a short stroll we ended our short trip and went to the city.

We're definitely going back for the tour.

Cafetiere

My weekends are usually spent at Davao. I always wanted to try new places to eat. Usually, I had to wait until 10 or 11 am before establishments open. So, I'm always having brunch whenever I'm here. This time around my sister introduced me to a new place - Cafetiere. Residencia del Marina Business Center at Jacinto Street, near Ateneo de Davao. It wasn't our first choice because I wanted to eat Gyudon from a Japanese resto that was just a few blocks away too.

Since we were already at Jacinto street doing some of my sister's errands we decided to eat at Cafetiere. The place seemed nice from the outside. When I got inside it was very pleasant. I loved the ambiance. They accommodates us even if we were a few minutes early from the opening hours of the store. They made us comfortable and took our orders so that it would be served once they were ready to open.
As for wifi... Nope, there's none. But one of the posts on their walls said (If I remembered correctly), "We don't have wifi but we're sure you'll make a good connection." Something like that. There were only a few people in. I like it that way though. My sister said it would be different if we went there during lunch time. So, I guess if you ask me when's the best time to visit the place it would be the first of hour upon opening of the store. Just to avoid a huge crowd.

Their food is affordable and delicious too. I have yet to try other recipes on their menu. Surely, I'd come back but for now. It's a double thumbs up for a first timer like me! :D

P.S.

Store hours:
Monday to Saturday
10:00 AM to 9:30 PM
