RETROSPECT

It's been a year since I left my nursing career for a new one. I came to love banking now. Although, I miss the constant adrenaline rush of an ICU nurse sometimes. Nursing career here in the Philippines isn't really that good.
I started working at the bank the day after my last duty at the hospital. It was surreal. I remember waiting at the lobby for my number and now I was the one serving the people at the lobby. I really wanted to work at an office. I took the chance although the odds weren't really that positive since my profession was far from the world of banking but I guess there are similarities especially in customer service. One thing I got from being a nurse is the patience when dealing with clients.
I still can't believe that a year has passed and I still feel like it was yesterday and I still got a lot more to learn. The struggle of being on probation and the joy of being a regular employee. Everything just went by too fast. I can say that I'm happy with my job and I can see myself growing and staying for the long run but I'm not closing any doors. Just happy! :)
I hope everything continues to go well.

Follow the gut feel.

YEAR 2 | Rewind

Too early for another throwback but this one's worth it. Last March 15th we celebrated 2 years of togetherness. It's been a nice journey and I am thankful for that. We originally planned on going with friends to Chemas By The Sea but they all bailed so we decided to push through, just us two. It turned out to be fun and relaxing. We just enjoyed the scenery and the water. I really like it there because there were less people compared to other resorts in Samal. A bit expensive compared to others but I'd say it was worth it. We went home the same afternoon. Boracay and Palawan would be our next goal but I think it would take a long time to achieve it. Always saying this but I think this time it's for real! I'm going to save up for all the adventures I'm planning on. Haha. Wish me luck!

Toodles!

CITY LIGHTS

We always wanted to go to Hill top or Jack's Ridge. Last weekend, we finally got the time to do so. It was so unplanned and out of the blue. Sometimes things are nicer unplanned. After eating dinner at Hukad we went straight to Jack's Ridge and just strolled, took pictures, and had coffee. It was perfect. The skies were clear, the city lights were enchanting, and the music was good. I'd like to have my solemn time there one of these days if only it weren't so far away from the city.

I think this is one of the "must see" places of tourists in Davao.

I think I'll always be a night person. I enjoy the silence of it.
